DAVID J. NORMAN, III
Dave was born in 1957 and is a lifelong Terrebonne Parish native. He graduated from Vanderbilt High School in 1975 and attended the University of Southwest Louisiana, where he graduated in 1979. He attended law school at Louisiana State University and graduated in 1982. After receiving his Juris Doctorate, Dave served as a law clerk for the Honorable Morris Lottinger, Retired Chief Judge of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal.
Upon completing this clerkship, Dave went into private practice, where he focused on corporate, commercial, municipal, and personal injury law. He was also an assistant parish attorney for the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government from 1993 to 1999, as well as parish attorney for 1999. He is general counsel for both the Houma-Terrebonne Airport Commission and the Consolidated Waterworks District No. 1.
Dave has served as a member of the Indigent Defender Board and as a past president of the Terrebonne Bar Association and the Rotary Club of Houma – Terrebonne.
Dave is admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state courts, the Eastern and Western Districts of the Federal Courts in Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Terrebonne Bar and Louisiana State Bar Associations. He has represented injured victims successfully in Houma, LA, and other states during his entire practice.
